This American Foursquare style home was originally built by Dr. J.C Lincoln and his wife Nettie around 1895. Originally referred to as “The Lincoln House”. The 15 room house was a place where many women in the community would come to enjoy afternoon tea time and gather to do popular activities such as art, music, cooking and entertainment. After the Passing of both Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln (1947). The House was purchased by Sigma Psi Omega in 1948 and served as a fraternity home until 1961 when it was then purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Sterns. The Sterns lived on the first floor and turned the second floor into a cooperative residence for Evangelical United Brethren BGSU male students. In 2014 the house was purchased by Mary Parkinson and Marcus Dumas and continued to be a home to many different BGSU students, Sororities/Fraternities. In 2024 the house was purchased by Shaun and Ken Reeves and it was Shaun’s dream of turning it back into a place where the community could come together and come full circle to be called “The Lincoln House” Once again.
